Hello, my name is Granger Titcomb and I am currently a student physics teacher at Flushing High School in Queens, NY. Surprisingly enough, in a school that was almost closed down last year there are still plenty of students who actually care about school and know the importance of a good education. However, the strong police presence inside the building also suggests that not every student is like the ones in my physics classroom.

  1. I've just taught my first lesson, and I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I had some issues with classroom management, but I feel like the students actually understood my lesson on free fall. At least they answered questions at the end of class that made it seem like they had a clue. The universality of gravity is always difficult to explain. Will report back when I teach another lesson. Should be next week on friction.
